In this work the buffalo wool from Switzerland is tested for its application fields. First I am looking for approaches to the questions of the historical use of the material and then where it can find its place in today's design world.
Primarily appealing to the material is that it is a waste product today, but with great potential, which remained unused until now in Switzerland.
The wool is extremely unique heat insulating and can save a lot of water.
For closer examination of the aesthetics, tactile and physical features a systematic series of experiments will arise.
The final products in the field of clothing materials and interior textiles are intended to show a possible look into the future market.
