Lack of context or its inappropriate use can cause negative or incomprehensible emotions for the recipient. Misunderstanding and shock caused in this way in 1913 Marcel Duchamp and his new initiated term called “Ready-made”. Finished objects, made by a machine or a man, taken out of their natural surroundings and embedded into a new context, aroused and still arouse much controversy.
The research into “Ready-made”, will show not only the artistic side of the term but mainly an interesting transition to the design world. It will present “Ready-mades” as a basic tool for many designers that I discovered and will show all the new branches of it.
Step by step I will move away from the standard image of “Ready-made” and will show new examples that at the first glance doesn't look like a “Ready-made” but if we look closer, we will realise that it is the same action of picking an exciting object that we normally know from Marcel Duchamp.
