However, having too much to choose from can actually lead consumers to a decision fatigue. The central question of my work is: in a world of abundant options, how can the curation of products and experiences reframe consumer’s experience of choice? Through observation in concept stores, online and offline shops, interviews with specialists, case studies and experimentations with shoppers, my research focuses on investigating the rise of the curated shopping trend and its application as a means to simplifying decision-making of overwhelmed consumers. The ultimate objective of my work is to design online retail concepts that effectively make the buying decision faster, easier and more pleasant in the future.TutorsBitten Stetter, Francis Müller, Adrian W.
