On the platforms available today, it is possible to play online with other consumers. The multiplayer games are largely existing on different platforms, but they often cannot be played across different platforms for several reasons.
In this project the history of multiplayer games are researched and the characteristics of asynchronous games are defined. Game engines and server software are analysed, based on qualitative and on software design.
Based on the analysis, a system architecture for cross play is built, which enables to cross multiplayer on several platforms. This includes a server software which handles the logic of the game and also a graphical representation is built.
